    Its morning 6 and i am very tired,exhausted,frustrated and little angry.Because i have pushed my YZF R15 for four kilometers continuously and received a comment that "If you dont have money to buy petrol then why did you go for R15" and i was numb.
    I was riding my bike at a speed of 97kmph @7000rpm.Bike was running very smoothly and morning while starting i did not face any issue of false start.And no indicator has glowed while i was riding.
    Suddenlly a strange sound came from the engine as if something has came out of the bike.It is was so loud.Actually i was riding wearing helmet and even the wind was blowing against me and still i heard that sound.I slowly took the bike to neutral and when i removed my helmet my first expression was "my god".Such a violent sound.As if some evil spirit has entered inside my bike.And no indicator is showing any warning sign yet. Only one indicator i.e., neutral was glowing.I just switched off.After five minutes when i pressed the start switch, it is not responding at all.Then i tried more and still no response.Only the console back ground light will become dim.So finally a good guy has helped me my pushing my bike.
    The battery is in perfectly good condition because the light intensity is 100 percent even at high beam without engine running.Horn is very loud.Engine oil is upto the level.I did not go for any modification not even a smaller one.And i have not given my bike to any one since i bought it.No after market filter too.
    I will go to YAMAHA showroom and will talk to them.
    But i believe my community more than those service guys.So please do help me because this bike serves me in all respect.And i am saying proudly that i have never faced any problem from this bike not even a single false start since i hate bought this.I really dont know what has happened to it today.
    I am saying alone and my parents are at ARUNACHAL PRADESH and they are working as a teacher.

      1) Describe as much as possible the noise you heard.
      2) When you push the starter switch, does it crank or nothing at all happens? Does a click noise or buzzing come?

        Did you try push starting the bike?
        Did you engage the self motor accidentally while on the run?

          Check the spark plug cap and sparkplug ( is it still there on the engine?? ). Remove a side panel and inspect the intake and head end area.

            what happens when u thumb the starter? as u said, the console back ground light is dimming, but if the engine is not rotating at that time, it means the starter motor is ok, if a click noise or buzzing is there, it may be the stater motor's engage mechanism accidentally engaged @ 7000+ rpm

            if its none of the above as u heard a very loud noise,

            I suspect:

            1. Timing chain/ valves
            2. Crank shaft / connecting rod

              When you put it in gear , can you still push the bike without using clutch ?

              @FrankP : the starter is cut off when the bike is running

              I suspect the timing chain was loose and false timing might have caused the valves to be damaged. Hence no compression in engine.

                yes boss, i know that the starter is cut-off when the bike is running, but what i suspect is the it may got engaged without touching the starter button (may be at the starter motor's engage mechanism).

                  I was on 6th gear.The terrible sound has come when i have pressed the brake softly and shifted to fifth.The sound was like someone is rubbing a stone over a bigger stone.
                  I get a sound like "click" whenever i press the bike's starting switch.As if it wants to get start.If i keep on pressing it continuously the the console light gets dim and finally the entire system restarts.The RPM arrow will rotate.Indicators will blink.And this process continues.
                  Finally i have taken the bike to service centre with a help of "TATA ACE".
                  The engineer has said that the problem will be known after they diagnose the ECU with the help of some tools they have.According to him it is either a ECUs malfunction or radiator problem.
                  They have tried their level best to start the bike by pushing technique and they have failed.

                    Even i too suspect that.Lets see what the engineer says.Actually i never push the bike hard at early morning and even though its an advance bike but still early morning after starting the bike i slowly and steadily rev the bike and then i go for a drive.Lets see what happens.

                      So yesterday the problem has been revealed to me by Yamaha engineers.
                      The engine has been ceased due to lack of engine oil level.The only thing i dont understand is how it has happened since i have change the engine oil one month before and have ridden only 1300km since then.
                      Any way i have to spend 25000 rupees since the entire bore kit has to be replaced along with the internal bearing.
                      I am planning to go for Joels big bore kit.Lets see what happens next.

                        I believe you said your engine oil was upto the level ...Confused!!?? ok.. please tel me how old your bike is or tell the odometer reading!!

                          HI,Thats so sad to hear that R15 got ceased.In my opinion the best product from yamaha after RX100(Keep aside RD350was R15! I ceased Rx100 6 times before understanding that servo 2T was the culprit. Do us inform when you get ur bike JOELED
