  • A weird problem

I have a 5 month old Pulsar 135LS, and the odo reads 3700km. For quite some time now, I have had this weird problem.Whenever I accelerate, at about 5000 rpm, there is a jerking action, like the fuel supply being cut off. It happens for 1 or 2 seconds and then the rpm increases normally. This happens almost everytime in 2,3,4,5 gears, and its more pronounced when riding with a pillion, or going on an uphill road. When going downhill, or when I accelerate slowly, it does not happen.
Its not about water vapor or anything, because its happening at almost a particular rpm value. Any insights into the problem will be hugely appreciated

      no idea

I have absolutely no idea.I guess it could be something to do with the tuning, maybe the air fuel mixture just isnt right.I actually dont have much knowledge about all this. And the SVC guy tells me theres something in the rear brake , I really dunno whats wrong with these SVC guys.

Check the air filter, clean the carb, tune to correct AFR and your problem is solved

Check the color of the plug, if its black, then your mixture is rich. Get you carbs tuned. Basically what's happening is there's a fuel gushing without air, so it take a few seconds for the air to get mixed & hence the issue.

check if your rear break is fully tightened if so there might be a chance the rear brake rod(the one connecting the rear brake pedal and the rear wheel hub ) is rubbing against the torque arm or any thing else, check when the bike is in stand also when you have some one sitting on the bike thus compressing the rear suspension....had similar problem with my p180 was solved by bending the rod out of way
