  • Help with YBX 125

Hi, I left my bike neglected and unatended after the purchase of swift vxi. But suddenly it came over me and gave a sense of guilt. However the catch is that there are no good mechanics for the bike and I will have to do whatever is to be done. I need your valuable suggestions and solutions regarding
    1.Engine tuning
    2.Paint refresh
    3.Chain maint.
    4.Other exterior finishes
4.Spark plug equivalents and filter equivalents
    Thanks

@Vishal - If you're looking for restorating, restore it to stock & then start modding your ride.

BTW, welcome to xBhp & enjoy your stay with us. Pls consider posting about yourself in the "Who Are You" section.

I do have a YBX, had it in stock and now completely converted to Race Track, check out my thread on Bajaj Enduro, details given there, also an other thread on YBX for Group 2

If possible and if you get a chance to visit Chennai, test ride my YBX, it will just kill a Pulsar 150 (on Tracks)

Thanks sunil for the approval. I merely want a comfortable ride on a good looking bike. This was very dear to my heart, bought it with my own money and served me well for last 12 years.
The problem I feel is engine response is sluggish, paint has diminished , HL have to be increased. Do not want a R15, that is for 20 somethings.

Thanks ramesh. Went through the thread on enduro. Basically I will be working on my own bike so the inputs which your post gives definitely point towards a starting line.I think everyone who has driven ybx will agree that she is a beauty , in my case she has become like rekha, good from a distance but not so attractive from near. Thanks anyway, i will make a checklist and get in touch with you. cheers

Thanks for letting me onboard. Some of the points which I could muster are
1.Front wheel make up i.e. polishing / painting
                          2.Headlamp replacement for better light
3.Engine deco / painting the exteriors
                          4.chain maintainence
5.Rear/ front shock absorber adjust and clean the exteriors
                          6.where to get wd40.
Hope to get help from the gurus.
