  • Help me to reduce noise in rear end.

    Hello guys,

I have bought my bike Discover 135 analog meters
    and disc in July 2008.
After a month when i rode with 2 guys (incl me), i had heard a noise like 'thud' from rear whenever i pass through a breaker or a mild pothole.

    I enquired about this and
came to know that this is
common in such disco in almost all bikes
    with gas shocks.

Its not been discussed here so i want to know that is it a
    single problem or with
many ?? Also please give of
suggestions to overcome this. About my bike
    Run -8k kms
    tires - factory fitted Eurogrip
engine oil - castrol (factory) mileage-- 50-55kmpl
    no mod done yet.
    Please help.

    No one replied.

I think the problem is with stock set less stiffer rear shocks. They just get more pressed with 2 heavy people.

It seems that only my area bikes has got this.

If anyone know please do reply.

Looks like either precision valves in the shock absorber has failed else sealing must have given way, better replace the shock/s in question.

        ^^sorry but what/where are precision valves ??

I consulted the SVC guys but they say either its main stand or too much weight..

        also posted pic below

Sorry dude, I just assumed the sound came from shocks(BTW, precision valves are inside shocks which controls the oil flow & seal 'seals' oil from leaking out of shocks)
...well here's another way to solve...take the bike to Bajaj ASS complain to supervisor and suggest him to dismantle the rear wheel completely and re-fit it with right torque. Also ask him to check if the 'stopper' that stops brake lever when free is in position/fallen off.

            Thank you vipin ji.
I will take it to the guys and will say it, when i get time.
Also it is not very important as i generally ride my bike alone.
            Thank you very much.

Also there i a rusting problem on the exhaust as in pic.
But no one can solve it fully.

Was expecting answer from a Discover rider.

            Regards
