  • Disc Pads for classic cbz

Hey guys as u all know the classic cbz commands japanese parts.Nowadays these japanese parts are damn costly.Pair of disc pads cost 2400/- and indian ones are around 1100/-.I screwed my disc rotor last time by using ASK pads 100/-.They suck big time.Sumone plz recommend me sum alternate to this problem. My mechanic says he has fitted Apache pads(450/-) to classic cbz and they are a perfect fit.Is this true??
Some say the Unicorn pads(300/-) are a direct fit to classic cbz.Im really confused in this matter.

And for the bomb now, the master cylinder kit costs a whooping 5500/- jap make (part no.45510) And the hero honda spares guy tells me there's no indian in this Im really in dead situation as of now cuz ive just forgotten my disc brake totally.I havent been using it past 3months :-(
Cant i use karizma's or hunks indian made master cylinder kit??? Or i can source it sumwhere else where its cheaper in mumbai??

Regarding the steering cone set,the spares guy tells me u can even use splendor's cone set in the classic cbz..Is this true??

And now for the swing arm bushes. He tells me there are 6 in total also called as kaychi (scissors in hindi) 4 rubber and 2 metal bushes or vice versa. Is this true??

Need ur urgent help guys.thnx in advance

Yes, you can use Karizma/Hunk/CBZ Xtreme/Unicorn master cylinder.

One of my friend is using a Unicorn master cylinder on his Ambition.

I believe Karizma uses Japanese "Nissin" master cylinder? Initial lot of CBZ classic also had Nissin master cylinder and caliper. Brake pads were also expensive for it.

I believe Xtreme/Unicorn/Hunk master cylinder kit is manufactured by Indian company KBX. I would say, go for this unit as it is cost effective. See if you can get steel braided brake hose (as you get on new Pulsar 220 front brake unit). It does improve the brake feel.

Nissin any day is better than KBX, but is expensive.
