    Pulsar 180 UG3 Mileage issue

    Hello mates,
    I have P180 UG3 and i am facing mileage problem. It is just giving 36-38 in city. I checked the spark plug and it wasnt dry, It has petrol on spark plug.
    contacted service center but all the time they just tune it and said this time it will give good average and i have to wait for every reserve to check the mileage and all the time i got 36-38 kmpl.

    Mates please guide me how can i get a better mileage. I already touched 38000 Kms.
    Tyre pressure, air filter, spark plug, leakage all are checked every fortnight and i drive speed is between 40-60 KMPH.

        mileage depends a lot on your driving habits so it is not neccessary that every person riding the same bike will get same mileage.

        there should not be petrol on spark plug, it must be soot (oily sticky), does your bike gives out smoke? how many kms old is your bike?

          Mileage of 36-38 with 38000km old p180 at city conditions is pretty satisfying.
          What mileage you used to get before?
          How's your clutch plates & pressure plates and when you changed them?
          At what rpm you upshift?

            Clutch and pressure plates changed around 5-6 months back. few weeks before my mileage use to be 45+ in city, My mileage reduced suddenly and i dont know how it happened. regarding gear change i use to change gear 1st on10-15 kmph 2nd on 15-25 kmph 3rd on 25-35 kmph 4th on 35-40 kmph and 5th on 40+ kmph
            RPM idle is 1200 and i dont have any starting problem at all. No smoke from silencer too.yesterday service center mechanic tuned it again and promised that this time it will again give me 45+ kmpl.
            lets see what happen this time...
            ANY SUGGESTION IS WELCOME...

              Does your bike drinks oil? For this you have to check oil level frequently. No smoke at silencer can't tell the complete tale, just insert your finger into the silencer and check for wet carbon deposits. If its there then you may have to look at engine internals most probably the PISTON RINGS.

              Same can be diagnosed if your bike's acceleration is gone....

              Looking at your upshifting habit you should get mileage of at least 40+ may be your bike needs just a quality carb setting....

              Ask B.A.S.S to use CO analyser for tuning your bike and then post us....

                there is some problem with your bike does it have 6 gears

                40+ is not the idle speed to shift to 5th gear it should be 50+
                apart from other problems your bike may have, ......i wanna say one thing that you are upshifting a bit early.

                  Thanks mate for your advice but this time tuned carborator gave me 48 kmpl in city and 52 kmpl on high way... at 4k rpm speed is 50kmph and at 4500 rpm my speed goes to 60 kmph.
