ya pinaki da, regarding the valve clearance it was OK. carburettor mix was too rich. Now i think its OK. no too lean nor rich. lets c. will be checking some 150 Kms of ride. if heating issue comes up then may be too lean. Again, they are saying that if you put the 20w30 it is not recommended by HH for hunk. so, to avoid any warranty issues, better to put those additives as they are increasing the viscosity of oil (because of our temp. & humidity). its the same as putting 20w30 oil but just for safe side. they solved the problem and asked me if I want to put those additives or not? they didn't put on their own. But one the warranty will not be void. I will PM you the regional office number. just call them and say I haver a problem in my bike but none of the servicing solved it. they will do the next step. just inform me about their approach.

I had ]complained to HH REGIONAL office and they asked you to do the proper checking." the moment I said that the SVC guy started saying SIR to me and offered me to sit in the AC room and asked me to wait until the senior engineer comes. Within 15 mins he came and I as pillion went for a TD for 5 kms. He recognized the problem and said OK. it will be done by the best(experienced) available mechanic. in the job card following were mentioned:

      1) valve clearance
      2) carburettor checking and proper tuning
      3) removing and replacing and tightening all the main nuts & bolts.

My bike was on the bay for 1 and 1/2 hrs and there were two engineers tuning the bike. even during the lunch time they completed my bike. to my surprise they mentioned that that there is a bushing where the tank sits on the chassis. that was was misplaced by the previous service center during my first service. after that vibration has reduced to some extent but not fully. they added two additives , one in engine oil and one in petrol. it is from Germany called nano oil booster and nano valve clearence and fuel injection cleaner. After adding it I rode the bike for 25 kms and really the acceleration increased a lot. just a small twisting in fifth gear and the bike is moving at 60. vibes are less but it is still prominent in lower gears at 4K rpm. didn't try above 4K rpm still.
the additives are marketed by mtf automobiles. check this out in Google. But once I'm in fifth gear the bike ha sbecome very smoth than previous. Mileage yet to check.

So, any comments or suggestion please!!
May I know, which SC is this?
the Cynosure Maniks SC helps me a lot in getting warranties......but the quality of service is not that much satisfactory despite of giving 50rs tip every time of service.
      Move on.........

Ok , well done .. I was suspecting the carb only ... hopefully that's settled now .

Some heating issue will remain untill you cross 3000+ kms on your new bike , it's normal by my experience , and it settles slowwly . This is because of new metal setting in by friction and wear . Richer mix will reduce temp but that won't lubricate , so don't try to solve the heat problem with carb tuning . Moreover here the noontime ambient temp in sun is past 36C already and dry ....

What additives in your oil will do is to make the engine parts very slick so they won't have much friction and prevent them settling in through normal wear , and make your clutch slip . Increased viscosity doesn't provide any lubrication or cooling, it just makes the oil sticky . Lubrication & cooling is the property of the base oil only . And base 20 oils are just better at it than base 10s .

The way I like to maintain engine lubrication and cooling under such circumstances is by using a heavier base 20 oil ( i.e 20w40 ) . Sure HH warranty doesn't allow you that , but then if you don't tell them what oil you filled afterwards their service they will never know . As for me now .. I am suitably frustrated with their service center to care less than a fat rat's ass about that warranty anymore .

Thanks bhai for the info you PM'ed .

@ Bappaditya- Looks like I am not the only one hunting for El-Dorado ( a good honest HeroHonda Service center in Kolkata , If such a thing exists ) .

          hii,

this service center is Vinline Engineering at college more. It is just after Baguiohati if you go from Airport side else just after Kestopur from Ultadanga side. in that area three showroom are just side by side (yamaha, bajaj, hero honda and one more coming up mahindfra two wheelers). before going to service centre just complain to HH regional office or just say you have done and see their attitude. Ya but if you need good mechanic it will take time so take nearly one day with you if you have major problem

Well, my situation is not exactly like that. I an getting good service here at Cynosure Manik's Auto Centre, but looking for brtter. Only thing why i don't want to change the SC is, from the Service Supervisor to the washing guy and the Spare Parts guy knows me and my bike very well and takes care of it and I am happy.
