Since last 3 months I am facing a strange problem with my one year old CBUni.
1. It started with speed of the bike. Initially I felt abnormal operation wrt smoothness. While driving upto speed of 40 even without pillion I felt like the bike is loaded or someone is pulling my bike backward. Then I thought of changing the petrol pump where i usually fill the tank.
2. I used to make 1-2 kicks at the morning without the choke to start the bike and usually avoid the self start in the morning. Then started the problem at cold start. Without the choke bike was not starting even after 3-4 kicks. Even after start of engine once i release the choke the engine feels heavily loaded and the throttle doesn't accelerate easily i.e. the RMP clock was not reaching 4k easily. I had to accelerate very hard. Engine was giving same noise as it gives when petrol goes to reserve. This continues for initial 10-15 mins.
3. Then after a month or so bike was on rest for 2-3 days. Then i found that battery was completely down. no indicator no neutral flash nothing was working. Somehow i started the bike with almost 15 kicks with choke on.
4. Then I went to Honda service canter. They charged the battery and on the next morning i felt some improvement wrt the engine load. It was slightly on the normal side.
5. Day by day after 2-3 weeks the condition again became as previous. Again i went to Honda service center they again charged the battery and asked me to check the battery with dealer saying it is damaged.
6. Battery dealer said the battery is ok and was not ready to replace. After that i changed by battery to Exide 7ah. Next morning i checked bike but still it is giving same problem for initial 5 mins but intensity of problem was less. That is now bike gets started without choke on the second kick and until and unless make the choke on it doesn't accelerate easily beyond 4k rpm mark for initial 3-4 mins.
Does battery play a role once engine starts? What could be the problem? Battery or engine?
