    Clutch Adjustment

    Honda Unicorn Dazzler (6500km done)
    Recently during the servicing the clutch cable was tightened...since then i am facing this problem...
    When the bike is on main stand and i put the bike into the 1st gear...without leaving the clutch the rear wheel starts to rotate...
    i went to the Honda service center for complaining...they said that it is normal nothing unusual

    how to adjust the clutch(if required) and is it normal that the rear wheel would rotate without leaving the clutch ???????

      You don't need to adjust your clutch if you don't have any Gear problem. The wheel rotation you mentioned with the clutch pressed is normal, its because of internal drag... (i won't go too deep on it)
      just cross-check it the throttle, I mean start bike on main stand... Press clutch, put 1st gear... Now wheel will rotate.... With the clutch holding, give some throttle...
      While giving throttle, rotation speed of the wheel should not increase...

        it is normal, even when i noticed it 1st time on my pulsar, i was shocked and ran to ASS, they said it is normal, and i had a really tough time believing them.

        but, yes it is normal.

            i was shocked to know that....cause once while cleaning my chain i had put my thumb in it...like a burnt child dreads fire i know that 100% ... that previously it didn't move...but then now
            having a hard time accepting that itz normal !!!

              but the main thing is i asked around ...n got pretty mixed responses...
              ppl had done more that 7000km n they didn't face this thing...so m still confused whether its "ok" that its moving or whether the clutch requires slight adjustment to make it "perfect"

                When the wheel is in rotation, like you mentioned, ie: clutch lever depressed and in gear, ask someone to stop the wheel. If the RPM drops, then you have a problem.

                Also, this occurs due to drag in the oil, so when oil has heated up, and lost some viscosity this should be gone.

                  Just checked with the rotation speed of the wheel...it increases
                  what might be the problem ??????

                    Bike should be warmed to normal operating temperature before you do this. Cold oil will cause more spinning of wheel....

                            Did try that...the RPM doesn't drop at all when the wheel is stopped...even the engine sound doesn't change...
                            but the wheel does rotate
                            will try to increase the free-play and see whether it helps

                              Try not to mess things up. I say don't bother if its not causing any problem.
                              You can see this wheel spinning on every bike having wet clutch.
