    Problem with hero honda self start

    Hi to all,

    some days back i faced a small accident, frOm that point of time my bike self start is giving some minor problem, when i press start button,its not starting some time.

    i asked service men about it , he told its common. But its not common. before that accident my bike start in single press.

    So my question is how can i tune "self starter" my self....?

      Did the accident left any impact in any particular area on the bike? Self start can give you trouble but it happens in winters when the engine is cold. You can check for two things.. try using self start with choke in on position and see nothing has gone wrong with wiring or battery after accident.

      Also does the bike start with kicker when self doesn't work ?

        everything is fine and kick start also working well. only problem with self start.

        is there any thing to set or tight. like screw....?

          no such screw or setting.. if the self rotates but not with its full strength and bike isn't starting then battery is the culprit at times. If self is giving trouble only in cold starts then its the battery.. if you can't start warm engine also then get the self serviced.

            It's may not be possible to findout exact cause through your explanations w/o pictures w/o seeing the bike.
            1. Wiring/connections needs should be checked
            2. Just follow trouble shoot procedure as given in manual, see if you can find it yourself.
            3. Complain to regional office via email/call them if the service given at svc centre is not satifisfactory. (for contact details visit HH website)

              its hero honda cbz and just 4months old.
