Where did you check? We used to buy this from a shop at Ranigunj.

If you dont get OKS chain lube,then look for Motul or TVS Tru4 chain spray.Much better than OKS!

hey Drifty and Ravi... thanks for your replies... I m currently using Motul (2nd can) and am satisfied with its performance.. but heard about OKS from a very trusted mechanic of mine in Probiking Chennai . He said, OKS lubes are like super speciality lubes and can be used in the interval between two phases of Motul lubricating cycle which (he says) prolongs the chains maintenance period and life. He said temperature too will be kept at minimum low with OKS.

@Ravi : I checked in Tadbund / Jubilee Hills / Kothaguda / Miyapur area for this lubricant and not many have heard about this in Hyd (which is very strange). Do you have any specific shop or landmark in Ranigunj ?

You will definitely get the OKS lube at Ranigunj. When you are going from Paradise towards tankbund, take left at four-road cross before the railway underbridge. After around 6-7 shops you will find one Bosch tool shop at the corner of a street. You will definitely get it there. Any queries, just call me on 9618844123

hey Ravi..THANKS A TON for helping me out. It was an adventure all through... First I missed the spot that you told me by almost 2 miles. I reached the Ranigunj / Paradise flyover and asked bewildered shopkeepers about Bosch showroom. Since most of the shops were power tool shops, they received me with very kind gestures but as soon as I asked about Bosch and OKS, looks on their faces were 100 % dismal. . Poor guys, its not their fault.

Then after roaming aimlessly for about 30 min in Hyderabad's blazing summer heat, I was almost about to call it quit. Then one shop keeper (clever guy) asked me if I was looking was speciality lubricants. When I confirmed that, he show me the right direction with shop name too. Reached the shop safe and sound ( Bosch shop guys you mentioned before, looks like they have stopped selling this. The guy next door had this in stock). So, bought 451 and 2101 ( anti-corrosion spray for my Chennai P150). Along the way got Motul Chain clean ( to give it a fair try ).

Side effects of this trip was my arms have now tanned atleast 4 tones darker and hairs on my wrist have singed off completly because I was standing too close to a tractor at one traffice signal and heat from its engine was unbearable. phew. . And along the way, I experienced the infamous Ranigunj train bridge..man.. I was about to pass under the train when a good samaritan stopped me from proceeding further and enlightened about the impending danger and possible biological projectiles raining from overhead....I m so unassuming

hello Mr. Ravi! today i tried for oks 451 in bosch tools shop. there are two bosch tools shops in that street. but i couldn't get it there . but they told me to find it in another shop and i got it!

i am inserting an image of that shop. it might be helpful to others too!
to the left of bosch board we can find a small board named "bearings and tools centre" we can get most of the oks sprays there!

Yes... these products (OKS, Motul etc) are specifically for O ring chains. Be advised that there are two products available, at least for OKS. One is de-greaser (cleaner) & another one is lubricant. Read the label carefully.

Thanks for the photo of the shop. We have always sourced the OKS chain from the Bosch shop and thats 1.5 years back. I too later came to know that the Bosch shop is not selling them right and the shop beside it is selling.

I am using diamond chain spray(Yamaha FZ-S) is it bad or good for the chains. Should I change the brand like OKS or Motul or Yamalube. Kindly advise.

diamond spray is good but not the best,you can try out tvs tru-spray.motul,oks are costly.
