  • Need Information on Riding Gears

Since my Bike is on the way, I have decided to get some riding gears.
The Gears am planning to purchase are,

    Helmet
    A Pair of Gloves
    Jacket

My main constraints are that i need to try them out before actually buying it, so that am satisfied with their fit. So this rules out Online ordering of the same.

    Price Constraint:
    Helmet - 6K
    Gloves - 2K
    Jacket - 7K

For helmet i thought i will go for the Nuvo Revolution Helmet : Carbon Black or Nuvo R&D Special Edition Helmet : Gunmetal or the Daijya G-Fit Samurai: D-220 Graphite.

For Gloves i need them to not bee too hard or too soft and should be very flexible.

The jackets should be all weather but with more emphasis on breatheblity and should be well ventilated(the more the merrier). Water proofing is a must since i live in bangalore where rain comes very frequently.

So Guys!.. Kindly help me out on this as well as where i can actually purchase it after trying them out in bangalore.

Iam very happy to know that you are investing in riding gear!!!
      Congrats for the bike
1)Helmet choice is good...the brands that you have selected is perfect and right one...Size you need to check out...all 3 brands mentioned have good quality designs...select that one which will suit your riding gear and bike!!!

2)Gloves--- I would personally suggest DSG Revive- these gloves are pretty decent in hot and humid weather..they also offer high end protection. Comfort is good compared to other brands.
      DSG Revive Gloves - 1,990.00Rs

3)Jackets --- You stay in bangalore right...there are various brands available there...DSG, Cramster, RJays, Scoyco......
You might want to take a look at Scoyco....the jackets are cool and offer high end durability in rains too!!....
Do not forget to try out any jacket you buy....check if you can comfortably move when its zipped out.....have a test ride with the jacket on....see if its comfortable or has snug fit!!!!!...check if the jacket requires any type of maintainence (leather Ones).....

I hope this information is enough for you to make a choice...if there are any doubts do buzz!!!!!
Once again congrats on your choice of purchasing motorcycle leave!!!!

Firen - Surprised to see you've left out RJay's helmets. If you still get the 40% current discount on Nuvo, then go for it. Daijya is strict NO.

The Site still says 40% discount, Hence thought Nuvo to be a good deal. Can You Provide me the link for RJay's?

Look for Rjays Octane jacket. Its a very good jacket.I guess it comes with rain liner. Its the most air vented jacket.Check the Rjays gear thread in Pitstop general biking discussion thread!
For gloves,DSG Revive might be a good option.

Would say stretch it till 7K - 7.5K and get RJay's Striker series

                          Gloves - 2K

                          DSG Revive - 2K or DSG Primal - 2.5K or RJay's Bandit - 2.7K

                          Jacket - 7K

                          RJay's Octane - 7.5K or DSG Nero - 5.5K
                          My reply in bold.

On personal note I would suggest since you have decide to spend total of 15K on Helmet, Jacket and gloves just stretch your total budget till 17.5K and get whole RJay's set (Striker Helmet + Octane Jacket + Bandit Gloves)
