Pulsar 220sf starting issue
I own a pulsar 220 sf which is about 11 months old. Recently i am facing problem when i start the bike in the morning. As i start the bike it does not activate auto choke but after i turn the throttle a bit and cross 2.5k rpm mark the auto choke starts. But the problem is that when i shift to first gear the bike suddenly stops with a thud or crank sound .
But after that there are no issues.

Check idle RPM, it should not be very low, should be around 1500 rpm ideally on a warmed up engine. Idle RPM can be adjusted by hand.
If your bike is pretty new, and is probably still in the run-in period then you should start your bike and wait for 1 min before moving off. This will make the oil warm and reach all parts of your engine and evenly warm it up.
If above doesnt solve problem then you might have to change the carburetor setting (slightly increase the amount of fuel going).

redo your clutch settings, Air-Fuel Ratio (Tuning), clean the air-filter and disconnect the Auto-choke... things will be ok... if still it pertains, drain your carb and clean the fuel lines. and for further help, refer to http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/motorcyc...-220-dtsi.htmlOriginally posted by zayed_ali890 View PostI own a pulsar 220 sf which is about 11 months old.
