  • messed up my carb TUNNING.

I own a pulsar 220 dts-i and done 24k kms.........in the past i was successfull in tunning my carb....but this time i m in a mess.......after getting serviced my bike at 23k kms....i tell the probiking mech to change the airfilter.......so he changed it......when i came to home i m tried so hard but the rpm needle is not staying constant.....
so my question is......why the rpm needle is not becomming constant even after 3 to 4 full revolutions?? is it becoz of a new airfilter.????

    somebody help me......

Check whether the air filter is properly fitted in the air box & oiling done on the filter.

turn the idle screw so that ur bike is revving around 3k rpm and then turn the fuel air screw to the left till the bike chokes and stops....turn the screw towards the right twice and start the bike. now start turning the screw with 1/4 rotation every time while constantly looking at the rpm..count the number of rotations and repeat this process a few times to get te perfect tune. Best of luck!!

if the rpm is not in control when you adjust fuel screw then the problem can be a bit serious.i mean the cam timing.if this is the case don't run on this tuning as this can damage engine.go to the ASS and open the head.ask them to adjust the cam timing.
and do check your over ring in carb.that can be another reason.first check the carb then the head.

he may've meant the revolutions of fuel screw.

                Check for air leaks
I think that there connectors to the carb & air filter are lose or there is uneveness...check that first, if still unsolved reposition the carb float pin.
