    Hi

I am planning a few modifications for my pulsar 220 dtsi, so please advise about the pros & cons of the mods

    1. Remove the rear shock absorbers and install a mono-shock absorber
    (please suggest from which bike)

    2. Replace the stock exhaust with a ffe
(gonna ask JoEl if his ffe can be made under seat and
if not have to go with his regular ffe with db Killer.)

    3. Replace the rider(front) foot pegs with those from R15(front) and pillion(rear)
foot pegs with the new RTR 180(rear) ones.

    4. Any more performance/visual mod. suggetions are welcome.

BTW am from Kolkata and does any body know any good mechanics in kolkata ???

IMO Mono shock is not good for Indian roads.Stick to Stock.

      2. Replace the stock exhaust with a ffe

Best Mod,Let us know whether fixing ffe under the seat is possible or not, any way go for the Joeled FFE.
Seen this on FB,Looks good to me,Guess its new design.

I had seen R15's foot pegs, seems like its too small. Dont know about RTR's.

        1. Our chassis is not meant to support the strains of a mono-shock. But still if you wanna go for mono-shocks, get yourself a swing arm from any of the bikes which come with mono-shocks as stock, preferably FZ or Fazer.

        2. Don't think Joel will do underseat exhausts as that would mean going back to the blackboards . but surely there are other shops who can but will be devoid of DB Killer.

        3. Can be done, no big issue with that.

        4. FFE is already a performance modd.. if you're planning a K&N Air-filter, i would say don't that will poison your engine slowly.

Posting some of the pictures of some significant pulsar modifications that you might get reference from...

Don't go for mono-shock treatment ,will badly effect the handling of the bike if not done properly

Decibel Killer. Reduces the sound of the engine.

db killer is used to suppress sound of engine to make it legal. also known as "baasuri" among our indian "mistirees".
speed thrills but kills if you dont have skills
