  • Need help procuring aersol spray can

So I dropped my bike a couple of weeks ago and the plastics have some pretty nasty scratches. I'm going tomorrow to a paint shop tomorrow to get sand paper to smooth out the scratches and I wish to apply some paint onto the repaired areas. My bike is a limited edition YZF-r15. The white color is actually pearl white and I need to source an aerosol spray can that matches this particular shade of pearl white colour.

If anyone can tell me what would be the colour code of this particular shade then also I'd be grateful.

Some pics to get you an idea of the colour :

Oh and I stay in Delhi so a shop close by would be preferred, if not then I can get the can couriered as well, but first option is a Local shop.

i don't think spray painting can match the color to perfection, try telebrands scratch remover.

Pearl white is mentioned on the site, and they have 6 dealers in my city so that's all good. Do you have prior experience with this brand? Does the colour really match?

They are deep scratches, deep enough that I had to melt a little plastic and put it into the scratches to get it to an appropriate thickness. Scratch remover won't help me as I don't have any paint left on some areas. Thanks for the reply though

@Parth : Plastic and paint combination is really a tricky part and might not blend well (have seen some paint work on mods and its heartbreakingly awful) ... have you considered masking it with some decals that will blend in with the original decals ?

I've thought of that. All the scratches are concentrated on the upper part of the fairing, i.e. the part above the red sticker that says R15. I'll remove all the paint off this part and paint the whole upper part. That way there will be new paint, then new decal(the old decal too is pretty messed up with scratches so It'll need work) and then the old paint at the bottom.

I have used the com-paint, panther black for my Ford flair, it worked amazingly. You should do a thorough polish to make it glazing, there are videos demonstrating how to use it.

Do some practice somewhere else before applying. It should work fine. Go for the combo pack.

                  Best of luck.
                  Cheers!!!
