It is possible that while your bike was kept idle for a month , it had fuel in the tank and carb which has formed gummy deposits in there ; it is a common thing with stale petrol . You'd need to fully dismantle clean and refit the carb internally and fuel petcock . Regular service won't dismantle the carburetor . Also clean the pressure relief valve ( hole thingy ) on the fuel cap and clean, dry, oil, refit the air filter , oil the drive chain . Next time , before you leave for a trip like that , disconnect the fuel pipe and completely drain the carb by loosening the drain nut . Plug the fuel intake stub on the carb with something to keep dirt out .

Check the Carburettor Diaphragm buddy, you have to replace it.
Even i had same issue and later it was found that the diaphragm had changed shape and was not moving properly.
After the Carb diaphragm was replaced its back to its 10.5k redline..

yes, you have to open the carb. its one of the possible causes - as mentioned in my earlier post.

diaphram should be soft and supple, if it has become hard, replace it. also check other things in carb as mentioned earlier.
