How to change rx 135 speedo wormgear?
hi, I have yamaha rx135 4-speed. For the past few days my speedometer is not working, the wire is in good condition so i thought to change the worm gear as told by my mechanic. I bought a new gear set and opened the front wheel hub to change it myself. but i couldn't find out how to remove the old gear which is inside. Someone please help me how to change it...Tags: None

its simple!! (i hope by now you would have done it,but still let others benefit)
remove the hub and there will be a washer to remove the helical gear...you can remove it using nose plier also!! then to remove the worm gear you have to remove a metal jump clip type of pin from the lower end of speedo cable!! then use a screw driver and loosen the worm gear by turning it anticlockwise....!! that's it you have done it!
any doubts PM me ...i'l help..
Rx is a Phoenix!!! It always rise from ashes!!

sorry for the late reply, i have changed it by myself. i drilled the hole bigger and inserted the new gear. mechanic told to take it to the lathe and the lathe guy told to take it out using gas welding. i think what i have done is far better than gas welding. now speedo working fine... thanks for your tips...
