Do not try to repair components that are safety and handling related,in a bike..so change the swing arm with a new one and set the alignment properly.

one question, if the swing arm was bent, how did the mech straighten it? i mean its a tube structure. so even if you try to straighten it, it will never be straight unless it is aligned on a machine. but no one of the local mechs or even the reputed ones have that sort of setup. so its 100 percent that your swing arm is still bent. you wont notice it but i can guarantee that it is not as per the alignment required by honda. eitherways only solution is get a new swing arm.

edit: also get the swing arm bush changed. it would have also been busted for sure cos swingarm is one of he toughest components on a bike.

replace all bent parts.....swingarm most imp, and i possible handle also.

@psr and ROCKRZ, i had the plan for changing the swingarm but it was not available at that time. So had no option rather than getting it fixed.
And he just hammered from many angles to straighten it.
Btw, what can be the price of a new swingarm? And any suggestion about the useless rear brake?

Bro i would like to ask you if there is a tunner in your area or nearby. If there is one you may wanna get the alignment work done through him. They do have a machine on which your swing arm could be aligned back to normal. If you dont have a tunner then simply buy a new swingarm but do remember to change the swingarm bushes.

I'd strongly agree with experienced people like PSR & Prince.

But, if I were you, I'd simply throw away all the parts that I've even a 0.01% in doubt (unless its a car) & replace with new genuine parts; now that includes every bolt & nut.

A tunner is an expert who does boring of block pistons, fork alingnment, wheel alingment, swingarm alingment and many other mechanical works. In mumbai a tunner in hindi is a called a 'lethwaala'. I would suggest you to visit your local mechanic and ask him for the best tunner in your locality or nearby. The damages should be around 100 or 150 bucks.

The guy who did the repair work on my bike is a tunner himself..

Another update:
the tunner said he will use some kind of hydraulic machine this time, for this he quoted 250 rupees. Should i go for it.. I know new parts are always better but my financial conditions are not pretty good. That's Why I'm asking..

And plz advice some thing for the rear brake.. The mechanic placed some washer in it... Still no use

buddy, i understand that financial conditions can propell you to the most stupid decisions but ask yourself, is it worth another crash? what youare seeing is a short term gain. but what if you crash because of that bent swing arm? is it worth the fairing change? is it worth the trouble? if the answer is yes, get it repaired else get it replaced...

I mean a straightened swing arm has no garuntee of working. ask your "tuner" if he will garuntee the proper working of the swing arm after repaires and see him kick you out of his garage. these guys just flatter you.

trust me, get your swing arm and bush changed and save money (expenses from the next could be crash).

edit: india is the only country where people can be convinced that critical parts like swing arms, chasis, bent forks, handle bars can be repaired. these critical parts can only be replaced.

had it been the fairing or the cracked headlight or a bent brake lever, it would have been fine to get it repaired. but swing arm! a strict no.

Guys, visited the HASS, they didn't had the swingarm so ordered it.. (my dad's going to kill me for that)
They say after the change, the brake will automatically get ok.. Is it true?
