  • Oil leek RXZ 4 speed

there is oil leek from below the engine in my RXZ 4speed.
the container at the back of the engine. pic attached.

i got the top gear oil seal replaced, twice, with no effect on the leek.

my mechanic told me that it does not affects the engine,if there is no oil here. But the clutch may wear out faster than usual.

curently i am running with on almost no oil in that oil tank for a month now.

wat can be the effects of this?
i want to know what is the use of this oil?
is it a engine oil or a kind of gear oil?
wat may be the reasons of leek?
where can i get it checked in hyderabad, miyapur area?

@Shivendra234 : The part that has been circled is the dip stick. Is the pic from your bike cause am unable to see any leak around that area.

Also,if you have been running without 2T oil which is in the (side) oil tank you may be in deep trouble. Am still unable to figure the problem. Please upload actual pics of the leak and may be there will be better understanding of the situation.

not 2T oil, its some other engine oil

updated the picture to be more clear. its not the original pic of oil leek, just wanted to show the tank where i fill this oil.

no its not the 2T oil for sure. there is a separate tank for 2T oil & that's not the one leaking.

2T oil is kept in a seperate container, 2T oil is for engine lubrication, as you have said that 2T oil is not leaking, just make sure sure 2T oil is maintained in its container properly.

regarding your oil leak, it is gearbox oil, used for lubrication of gearbox. your mechanic is partially right, if you have no gearbox oil, your engine will not seize, but it will surely damage the gearbox, becuase gearbox oil has a job to do, it is not for fancy purpose, and its job is to keep the gearbox lubricated.

FIND THE LEAK AND FIX IT AS SOON AS POSSIBLE AND REFILL THE OIL.

            thanks a lot everyone.

can there be reasons other than a damaged oil seal.

every other mechanic i consult is just stuck on to change the oil seal. even if i tell them that it was changed recently, they say they will put a good quality seal.

@Shivendra234 - where are you from?

I faced similar issue and sorted out. What I followed is this!

              1. Waterwash the complete under engine and wipe it with dry cloth. Put the vehicle on main stand. Pour some quantity of gear box oil and wait for over night. Next day, check to see where exactly the leak. Let us know then.

Note:- This would also help to identify if there are leaks else where.

That looks suspiciously like my engine pics... The oil is common to the gearbox and clutch afair.... Do what sriram suggests.
