  • 2010 Honda Dio starting problems

I have a 16 month old Dio occasionally used by me and completely ruined by me and a know-it-all mechanic.
The Kilometers on the odo is 6991 and until a few days ago,the only problems pestering me were the drained battery(Due to the installation of aftermarket Horns) a choke lever that fails to engage and the inadequate headlight spread in both the modes.

A few days ago,due to an upcoming Highway journey and the sudden loss of power(But the fuel efficiency increased) due to which the vehicle could not climb to 80 Km/H with a pillion where as it was possible earlier. So,I asked a local mechanic to look into the issue. His reply(or rather his answer to my problem) was and I quote "I can increase the 'pick-up' but the mileage will drop"

So I said okay.He then unscrews some bolts and lifts the rear plastic assembly giving him access to the timing belt(I might be waaaaaay off here!).He then puts his hand behind this belt and does something by pure hand and eye co-ordination and asks me to take a test ride.I test rode for a few meters when I realized that the note had changed to a well timed low frequency clicks(as in a sewing machine at work)but to my horror there was absolutely no change in the initial acceleration. He said that the difference would be felt on the open road.
I did feel that the vehicle was back in action as it effortlessly accelerated to 70 Km/H with a heavy load but the only sore point being the note of the engine(even my uncle's 4 year old Activa had this).

The recent events are more horrific and embarrassing.
Story-After a 7 A.M fast run from the public swimming pool parking area to my home,i let it idle for a few seconds(like I always do)but the vehicle shut off and it did not start by the Kick lever.I tried to kick start it for a few minutes(By this time,my heel felt numb)then i gave it a brief rest(due to me hurling abuses) and I got back into Kick-starting and then it magically started but a small puff of black smoke came out of the exhaust.
Yesterday, the same thing happened thrice at three different traffic signals but it started after a few minutes.

In the meantime a parking attendant(child labourer?) from a near by building who was seeing my attempts at kick-starting came over and with a grim voice (suiting a surgeon who came out of the OT to tell someone's kin that their dude had died)told me "saar, bore damaaar" which translates into "Sir,your vehicles' bore has been damaged!".These words are the ones which have pushed me into the mode and hence I am asking you guys for suggestions/advice/more comments that lead to a Myocardial infarction.
    P.S-sorry for the long post

Do a compression test at Honda ASC & then conclude if the cylinder is damaged or not.

        hey
go to the service centre or a well trusted mechanic
and ask him to tune the carburetor(air fuel ratio)
        rest everything will be fine
