  • Help required for fitting Alloy wheels on Cbz star ?

I have asked hero Honda official dealers if I could fix original Cbz extreme or Karizma alloy wheels on my cbz star. I prefer those as they look good and are genuine. I don't prefer the local ones as I don't wanna ruin the look and feel of my bike. I have a couple of questions in mind when doing this. Firstly, what changes would I have to make to get them fixed. The HH people told you would have to make alterations n all n it always creates a problem. If anyone whose fixed such alloys or can guide me for the same I would really appreciate. If I have to make changes, please tell me what would be the cost and how complicated is it. Any pictures are highly appreciated. Thanks

^^ not an issue. I remember my friend putting the karizma's alloy wheels on his classic CBZ. No issues.

only alterations would be that you will need to buy new hub bearings and inner spacer for the alloy wheels. Same will be installed in the hub of the alloy.

Also the disc will be removed from the hub of the old wheel and installed on this one. Generally the disc mounting bolts are quite hard to remove, and welding and removing them is generally used as a last resort. So you will need spare mounting bolts as well.

The tyre/tube + air valve will be installed on the new wheels.

Thats about it. Your existing axle rods, and wheel spacer should fit the bike.

Btw, try and buy the rear brake cover plate as well. else you will have black colored alloys and a silver brake cover plate. ( Dont think of painting it, since the paint will start chipping off, and not look the same as the wheel ).

Never ask anything about modifications @ SVC,they even dont know what to do with a stock bikes. Ask any bike modding center or local mechs.
