  • front disk problem in unicor

    hii riders. i own a 2005 honda unicorn n a 2010 re tbts. i dont ride my uni so frequently now after getting the tb. few days back wen i took out my uni for a ride i found the front disk has become very loose dat is i have to press the disk lever very hard in order to brake effectively. later when i consulted with my mechanic he askd me to change the master kit. even ater changin it i faced the same problem. the disk pad are new also. therefore not able to find out the cause of the problem. help me out guys

      The first generation Unicorn disc plate itself was not efficient. Without changing the plate, if you change the rest there is no use. Get the disc plate which came from 2nd gen.

            +1^^^ There might be air in the fluid tank. Check fluid level.

                me also having the same issue with o5 unicorn, yesterday at high speed i was nearing a speed breaker so i jammed the front nd back disk brake nd it was like i had drum brakes in the front, and now the pads are holding the disk slightly making a sound when the bike moves and the brake light is on even though the brakes are not held

                    It might be due to the brake hose.. you can check in manual for when they might need changing.

                      i guess i know now why my disc is functioning properly, the brake fluid is like dark reddish colour, i thought that was normal lol i'll try changing it, which dot4 fluid is nice and what wuld be the cost?

                        DOT3 is redish color and DOT4 is transparent,Get DOT4 TVS Girling brake fluid,nearly 75rs.

                            I think the 75rs bottle is 250ml or something and we dont have to use more than 100ml at a time.
