  • [Photo Feature]: Karizma R Pick up Problem

    Hey All.

Around 7 months back i have bought a new Karizma R-Black Color. Till date i haven't faced any problem.Recently i was running out of Fuel , i applied Choke and some how reached the Fuel Station. But when i released the Choke, the lever did got released but in actual, it didn't happen. It got jammed.

I manually adjusted the RPM meter and got it from 5 to arnd 1. I then got it checked from the Service Station, and they informed me that i have to replace the Choke cable, to which i got it changed.

    The actual problem starts now.

The bikes pick up has dropped tremendously. To reach upto the Speed of 60, i have to shift utp 6th Gear , and bike doesnt shows power.I looks like i am riding Splendor or even worse. I again got it checked with the Service station, where i was informed that, there is possibility of water in the Carborator. Recently there was heavy rain in Gujarat and the Place where i live in was flooded. They got it cleaned. Some progress shoed up, but i didnt got the real power yet.

    Can some one Help...

Get your carb opened, opened completely and clean it

along with this check your fuel tank for any sediments.

Hope your getting quality petrol out there.

        I am Damn Serious Dude.

I have got my Carb Checked, opened and Cleaned. The mechanic told me there was some Water inside in it. The petrol Quality is also goood. No water in the Fuel Tank too. After the Carb got cleaned, i find some progress, not the actual performance.

I am getting sick of this.

          1. Check if the choke cable had been fitted properly, esp., on the carb
          2. Check to see if the carb bowl breather tube had been fitted on the carb.
          3. Check if your Air Filter is clean, and change if it looks dark instead of lime yellow.
4.Adjust AFR to 4 FULL turns Anti clock wise, AFTER GENTLY turning it clockwise till it stops....Apply WD 40 or 2 T Oil on the screw, and wait for half hour, before trying this since the screw may be jammed.
IF THE SCREW DOES NOT TURN EASILY DO NOT FORCE IT. apply wd40 or 2 T oil again and wait for 1 hour before trying it.

          Carb breather tube...

Once I move to 5th Gear arnd speed of 55-60 the bike goes smoothly...But on lower gears its like disaster.

Thanks for ur detailed photographs and i got it reviewed from the mechanic. He said the carburettor wasnt placed properly and he got it placed again.Again some more Progress found, but nt the original power...

Should i change the Air Filter , along with the carburettor??? May be I can get this solved like this???

                Please suggest..

                Thanks..

Check the carb insulator for air leaks.

if the problem not solved. follow following steps :

                          1. Forget about local mechanic. Goto service center. Do not tell them, you have been to local mechanic. tell them, last time they changed the chok cable and started problems.. I don't know, please check and correct it.

                          2. If they are not able to solve, drop a mail to HH (mention, 6 months old bike spoiled by service center), and see the dance

                          always works

                            hi

facing the same problem dude, problem is in carburater...
you have to replace the slider which is commonly called as piston or diaphragm.. suggest to check in service manual part no 15. Everything will be fine after replacing it... good luck happy riding
