  • Accessories for my Tbird.

Finally after a lot of pestering, persuading, bedding and emotionally blackmailing and waiting i brought my baby home yesterday evening. And since then i cant stop but run out every now and then like a little kid to look at the love of my life...
After years of reading and learning stuff here at Xbhp i will now be able share my own views and experiences.
But first i'll be needing a little help with finding accessories for my bird,,
The dealer @ RE said they dont make any seat cover for the thunderbird, also the rain cover they had there costed 840 bucks and was too thin and flimsy to look worth it..
I also plan to buy a few riding gears now like knee guards, gloves, a saddle bag and a good riding jacket.
Anybody has any idea where i can find the above mentioned in mumbai?
Also a good shop where i can get other accessories and parts for my thunderbird.

Hey buddy, it's nice to meet a fellow Bird owner. If you want my opinion, don't go for a seat cover, It'll ruin your bird's presence. As for the saddlebags, I am in search of one myself. Royal Enfield Zone - Distributors and Exporters of Royal Enfield Bikes, Spare Parts and Accessories from New Delhi, India :: :: :: :: Extensive range of spares and accessories for Royal Enfield Bullet, Electra, Machismo, Thunderbird, Standard & ROYAL MOTORYCYCLES lists leather saddlebags. I was quoted Rs 1360 for one of them, but I am hesitating due to the reason, I am not sure how long the leather will last with all the rain and mud. Alternatively you can go for nylon saddlebags, check out

You can look for riding gear at cramsters mentioned above or planetdsg at
PlanetDSG : Motorcycle Riding Gear, Accessories, Apparel and... Currently I am thinking about upgrading my headlamp to 60W and fixing some kind of led warning/daytime running light to the crashguard.

Love your bird, she will love you back.........

Here in Bangalore, the on-road price is 1.25L. For Mumbai it should be 6 - 7K cheaper. The waiting period is 5 - 6 months.

                  Forgot about the thread!

Hey guys, thanks for the wishes n help. Its been almost a month n i've done 750 km on my bird.
Still confused about which riding gear to buy.
I've narrowed it down to these:
                  Saddle Bag: Cramster Stallion
                  Jacket: DSG Maze
Gloves : DSG Revive or Cramster Blaster
need a review on the gloves. Planning to order them as i know my glove size.
                  Thanks again!
