  • My Pulsar 180CC makes a metal cracking noise while self starting and does not start.

My Bike wasnt fired up from last 1 month as I was outside the town and its been raining heavily. Now when I tried starting my Pulsar 180CC, I get a metal cracking noise trrrrrtttrrrrrrrttttrrrrr and Bike is not getting started.

As far as I know my bike has some petrol left in it..but i am having an intuition that , as petrol is not sufficient and inside the cyclnder due to no petrol, spark that is getting generated inside the cyclinder in spark plug is making such crackiling noise ( as noise is produced due to electrical charge jumping from 1 electrode to another hence ionising air or petrol).

    Please advice.

Itz the starter motor sound... since you had not been using it for a month itz obvious that your battery might have lost itz charge. So the starter is not receiving the current hence the sound.

      Charge your battery
Presence of MIND and self CONFIDENCE is the primary aspect You need to be on road, not what brand your riding gears are.

first put some petrol in it.

since it is not started from one month, the cyinder head may have become dry as well as piston, try to put 3-4 drops of oil into each spark plug hole. then try to kick start it.

Yes. This is the sound made by the starter motor relay when battery is dhus!
Dhakka start your bike and ride around without the headlight ON [no not even pilot lamps] and without honking for atlaeast 10kms above 4.5K rpm and your bike's starter motor will spin.
