  • Pulsar 135ls engine problems :(

My pulsar 135ls at speeds of over 80-90 experiences engine jerking once every ten or fifteen seconds kinda like the jerks when you get when there is low fuel..never has this problem before..

Is it because i experienced high wind resistance?? But i felt the jerks from the engine not form the bike as a whole..the engine rpm dint vary when the jerks happened..

And all of a sudden i find the bike hard to start in the morning..never had cold start problem over the period of owning the bike for 1.5years

the bike has auto choke so it raises rpm to 3k to heat engine..when it comes back to idle and when i rev the engine it just shuts down and acts like there is not fuel..even if i manage to start the bike and rev it to 4k it feels like there is no fuel but i have sufficient fuel in the bike

can anyone tell me what could be the exact problem and a possible solution

    (ODO - 5500 odd)
(new engine oil put around 100kms back - castrol active xtra 20w50)

Please check the condition of your Air Filter..Check and clean and if it is bad change it....Drain the sediments in the carb bowl by unscrewing the screw at the bottom of carb bowl after CLOSING THE PETROL TAP.This will drain out the sediments in the carb bowl..Also check the filter in the Petrol tap itself..it is the nut like bowl under the petrol tap. again unscrew this and you will see sediments in the bowl which you can clean and check the filter at the upper side of the petrol tap...

Possibilities can be a stuck choke (auto choke in your case), a clogged air filter or a worn out spark plug.

Also check if the fuel filter is clean enough and the petrol pipe from tank to carb is in good shape or not.

If none of the above helps, there must be something wrong with the carb. Get the carburetor cleaned and serviced.
