  • Pulsar 220F engine seized @ 17k

    Hi,
    I am kishore i need some information about warranty claim, i own a P220F from past 1year my bike was making lot of noise from the bore, i enquired in popular bajaj mysore, service person checked the bore and showed the scratches inside the bore, he told i can claim warranty i was v happy that time. replaced the bore kit finally he gave me the bill of 7000rs in that 1800rs minus for bore kit so total of 5200rs i have to pay. I JUST want to know wat is warranty, Y i have to pay all the bill..???
    i have paid the bill and get the bike coz without bike i cannot do my daily job.
    so i need some suggestion how can they billed that much for a defective engine...??or wat i can do now im totally angry on bajaj..

      AFAIK Bajaj Pulsar 220 has 2Year or 30000kms Warranty,You dont have to pay any amount as the bike is in warranty,Mail a complaint to BAL.

        Bajaj is very much customer friendly, you need to get hold of the right man. Please write a mail first elucidating the experience. Please do not forget to mention the name of mechanic who worked, the service station in-charge and of course the dealer. Please annex their respective contact numbers too. This would create a good impact and am sure you would be contacted from Bajaj' central office.

        Please keep us updating about the proceedings. Do not worry, if your bike is under warranty period, every penny would be reimbursed. You need to hit the right target. That is all.

          Like Pravu said, the after sale svc of Bajaj is exceptional. All you need to do is just send a mail to Bajaj customer care stating all your problems and I think you will be more than happy with their response.
          Sorry for your bike though.

              Once is warranty is give its binding the manfu. to replace/repair the defects. You dont have to pay anything, i guess not even labor. Its probably a misunderstanding at the dealer end.
              Hope they will settle the matter for you quick and easy.

                    What was the repair carried on the bike. Did you get anything else done apart from the warranty repairs.

                          @Digital_shubhi

                          No dude i have maintained the bike like a baby, i used to change the engine oil before 3000kms only..no stunts, no racing. for city ride engine seized. no one will touch my bike i wont give to any one, no pillion ride..only for single use
                          office to home, home to office.
                          For my bad luck it was a defective engine.

                          Can any one bill like that for warranty claim?

                            Catch a hold of the Regional Manager of service from Bajaj and settle this before they forget about it and say now its too late.
                            Go to the service center and ask them for the RM or Service head of your area (Person from Bajaj not the dealer).
