Thats what the service engineer pin pointed at the HH ASC... Initially it was aligned properly... Then I had the issue like the chain rubbing the chain guard (I can hear the sound)... Which is not uniform but its like inconsistent...

The ASC guys told me that chain sprocket is getting worn out... Will this happen at 7k kms??? Also they told me like they cannot change it under warranty .... The issue cropped up only after 3rd service when they had the chain cleaned...

Did this sound started after getting the bike serviced from the SVC?

Now my bike is at the SVC for the 4th service... I made a call to the service engineer... He told me that he is checking on the issue and has not changed the sprockets... He confirmed that he will give me a call if the sprockets really has to be changed... I ll get my bike today evening...

I think i have the answer for you,One thing i found from my svc is that, they dont know how to seat the chain guard correctly,so it will starts rubbing chain,I think the same had happened here too.there are some lock like things in the swing arm and you have to place the chain guard exactly in this hole for seating it properly.Check it,it might be the culprit.

Dont change the sprockets now, call and tell him not to change it,Firstly let us know whats the exact culprit, just wait and see.

I got my bike back today... It seems the guys have altered the axle nuts... I ll try to post a pic by tmrw... Even the guys told me that if the noise issue doesnt not comes up till the 5th service then we can forget the idea of changing the sprocket...

The chain guard seems to be intact... Checked it with SVC and 2 local mechs...

i own a pulsar 150.Even i have same problem with my chain.there is noise every time i brake or shift gears.its more like the chain is oscillating transversly.i have noticed that the chain strikes against a similar flange like no.11 in above picture.any solution to this?

Remove and fix it correctly in the locks.

i have removed the case already thinking it might be the culprit but the noise persists.i cant remove the flange cos its welded

Check for the correct alignment of rear axle. Put the bike in middle stand and rotate the tire and check what is making the noise.
