  • help regarding 125cc bike

I am not in my home because of studying far away from my home,so I am missing my karizma R here.
here I have a bajaj platina 125,I am using this for my daily needs and also for long rides.
1> So the problem is no TEMP Gauge is available on this bike,is it possible to fit it externally?
2>How many km I can do without creating pressure on the engine?

3> fuel gauge is not working?(though according to showroom guys thats working).
4> how to fit extra foglight or extra LED for night driving?
will it create problem for the battery ?
5> Is it possible to fit tachometer ?

6> any good mechanic in vellore?

      1) Why do you need it? There are very less bikes with a temp. gauge.
      2) Depends on how you ride it. A normal 40-60 kmph speed can take you pretty long distances. A hard ripping at full throttle might will make you stop every 1 hr or so.
      3) What's the exact problem?
      4) Look up the "Let there be light" Thread.
      5) I think it is possible.
      6) No Idea...

Why do you want a temp guage & tacho? Keep the bike in stock; If you're CAPABLE of riding 20% below the redline speed, you can keep riding your bike all day, IF, you can do it!!!

First of all, Realise that you have a platina125. I know we do miss the features, the feel of older bike. It's not easy to let it go from our subconscious.

Don't except zma feel from it. Also Platina needs to be ridden in very different way than the zma.

Treat her like Plaina125 and she'll serve you for years, without any problem.
I've ridden this machine and the engine is really good. Just know it's limits.

This solution might bring your worries down and might give you "peace of mind" :

Bring your Karizma R to where you are presently stay.

This will be an easier, cheaper, and way better option.

              Cheers

A lot!!! Your charging & lighting coils has to support the battery & power the bike.

You can fit a oil temp gauge.. it sits on oil filler hole, instead of dip stick.
                      Me too wanna have it.
And I've done 796km in 18hrs (with breaks). I think a good in shape bike can be used for more than 24hrs without breaks if kept below 75%

                        engine oil??

Friends please suggest me the engine oil for my platina125.
I use this for my daily ride also very long ride where the engine takes heat very much.20w40 is recommended by Bajaj.Bajaj engine oil is very bad.Now I am using MAK4T(20w40).
If I use 20w50 is there any problem or will it be good for engine.
                        Please help me...

you tried any other oil in 20w40 grade say elf/gulf/motul/valvoline? no problem with 20w50 oil, only thing you'll notice is less rev-y nature because of thick oil. Btw, i recommend using 20w50 in summers at least.
