  • R15 spark plug problem

Hi, I bought an R15 3 months ago and have done 1100kms without any problem but today my bike suddenly stalled when I was riding. I could start the engine with the self start but as soon as I gave even a little throttle, the engine was stalling. There was a local mechanic nearby so he came and fixed the problem. He said that there was a leak in the spark plug adapter and i think he fixed it by connecting two ends of the spark plug with a red wire. I want to know why exactly this happened and how to prevent it in the future. Should I take it to the yamaha service center? The mechanic said that water might have been the problem but I haven't washed my bike in a week and it hasn't rained either.

Change the spark plug Terminal, it might have gone bad.

I also had a similar problem.

It started once I had to keep my bike idle for about two months. I was not able to ride my bike in low RPM. I gave to SVC and they changed the adapter. It was fine for one month. After that one day, bike wasn't starting at all. Again i gave to the same SVC, they again changed the adapter and it was fine. Same thing happened one more time.

Last week, my bike stoped again while i was riding. It was not at all starting. When I tried to start after few hours it started and I didn't have any problems after that till now.

Could you guys tell me what my be the reason why I am facing the issue..

        Thanks in advance.

Hei my problem was solved after I changed the fuel pump. You can ask your service person to check that.

            cheers

                1) Check the battery first, Are you using HID or projectors or any other lights for styling, then battery could be the problem check it and try if its not resolved

2)Check the spark plug if its dry change it, if its wet then do the gap adjustment and try again still issue not fixed

3)Check the FI system, Is the petrol flow getting stucked while giving throttle, then fix it and try again still not solved

4)Bring it to the service centre
