  • P220 F Queries

I am new to this community and new to biking world.Yesterday i bought my pulsar220f.My queries are:-

1.when the showroom ppl gave me the bike, the bike had already run 120 kms. When asked why?they said it is due to they test it at three places(factory,Go-down,showroom)and also they deliver the bike to the showroom by riding the bike itself frm the go-down.Am i cheated?

Although i am not sure; i think you may have been cheated.
I have never heard of a bike being purchased brand new with 120km's on the odo, You should take this issue up with the bajaj people.
Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming, 'Wow! What a Ride!' -Hunter S. Thompson

120 Kms is a bit too much. Something around 20 kms is the norm. You might have to impart a little bit of your vocabulary to get them to tell you what the actual reason is.

Thats BullWaste that there are talking to you. Showroom ppl are not involved in any R&D to test the bike for 120Kms.

Its simple they have used it as a test drive bike, or some Showroom walah must have taken his girl friend in your bike for a long ride.

Normally its 20-30 kms. Mine has 30 kms on the odo. Normally dealers try to avoid octroi by riding the bike to the showroom from their remote storage place. 120 kms seem more though.

                Bull crap!
Any sort of testing is done at factory W/O connecting the ODO.This 120KM is their Joy ride.go screw them!the only riding they should do is to the RTO for Registering the bike.

mine too was not more than 5 kms. 120 kms is more on a odo meter.

                    Dude that is not normal.
When i got my P220 Dts-i, it has just 26 kms.
Go to them again and ask them.
If not satisfactory, please go to the Bajaj consumer grievances.
Btw, i just hope u have taken the photograph of the odo when u 1st got it as it would give proof of time and date when u took delivery of your bike.

Unless you live in remote area or distance between shop and RTO is more, this is not normal.

The bikes are usually ridden down from nearest warehouse to the shop and from there to RTO once and back to shop to be handed over to you.

I had 11km on ODO on delivery.

120kms You have been cheated for sure, it shouldn't be more than 10kms!
Actually for proper running-in of the engine these first 100kms are very important. In fact its recommended to get engine oil changed at 80-100 kms.
Take legal action on that showroom.
