    Update

I just checked the voltage coming to battery.

When the headlight is OFF i.e normal conditions the charging rate is 14v

But when the Headlamps are ON the charging rate is 12v

So i gotta hunt a way to boost up only that 2v difference.

    I think its marginal difference.

If anyone can find a way plz do let me know

err! how did you check the voltage? multimeter???? I'm sorry i dont have a electrical or electronics background, can you give us a brief description on how do you check the charging rate.

Today morning my battery was drained out Self didn't work at all.. After kick start and a 2 or 3 mins idle Self started working..

Yes u can fit a higher rating battery, even i am planning to do the same. U gotta remove the battery box i.e the plastic box and fit. I would recommend u Amaron 9ah maintainence free battery. If ur not connecting headlights to DC then no wiring mod is needed.

@Shreeni0403: Did you finally manage to get a solution??

Also, I've got another question for you... when changed your stock 35W bulb to a Osram 55W... did you change any of the electricals and do some modification... as in re-coiling etc.

I have the exact same question. Will replacing the stock 35W with a Osram 55W Silverstar, affect anything else. battery charging etc. I guess the lamps in the speedo console, the tail light would become less brighter. Anything else ?

And is the change worth it ? difference in lighting wise..

                    Above 3

I didn't change coil or rectifier or battery.

regarding electricals, yes i have changed the setup from AC to DC and added relays. Result my headlights glow even when bike is OFF i.e they are running on battery.
With this setup my battery is draining when i ride in city at low speeds but on highways i haven't faced any draining issue.
So for the sake of city limits i ve Neolite spot lights which can light up my way which is running on AC current.

So basically, what we should do is get coil rewinding done and then fit a 55/60W Philips Crystal Vision or the likes and then we are off. Is that it or am I missing something?

MARGINAL??? A fully charged battery will read not more than about 14.4V and a fully discharged one will need above 13.5V from the coil to charge itself. If the battery gets only 12V, it will not be charged.

So what can be done as a solution to increase the battery charge rate without messing the coil??

                            Any idea

Well in my Apache RTR, i have change the circuit and cnvert all electricals to DC, it inclueds Dash board, two pilot LED lamp, Tell light, along with the brake light and the starter motor which was already in DC power. Now the magneto only provide power to the head lamp and the Charging of the battery. Prevoiusly I have tried a 55/60 watt at stock condition and it was not a very good option. And after this whole mod i have again install the 55/60 and now its perfectly OK.

But in last service I show setup to my TVS service Engineer, and he told me that it will ruin the magneto from inside and to use 35/35 insteed. He also add that this setup will produce extra heat which is also not good for the bike. But after checking both setup, 55/60 & 35/35 i didnt feel any extra heat in same riding condition.BTW i am using OSARAM normal 55/60 bulb, cost only Rs.80.00.

Any idea about this. Please post your inputs.

No much idea about electricals in RTR but if the entire setup is on DC then your battery will take a toss if its not charged properly. Now how to charge it with out coil rewind, well that still i donno. But any time you can proceed with coil rewind and stuff.

Regarding heat, yes it does produces much heat than 35w bulb. But that is not going to effect anyway to bike. At max you may get small air bubbles in your reflector.
