Okay. Then I will take it. If I want a steady and strong head light beam, I am ready to gamble the lower battery life. In fact, not just the battery but the head light assembly too needs a faster replacement. You want something you gotta loose something. Cannot revv the engine while braking for a corner or a speed breaker or a pot hole or in slushy n muddy patch.... that's where you need good and steady light beam.

I have used amby sealbeam which can handle upto 100W. So, my 65W bulb poses no prob! And as for the battery, its your decision!Originally posted by HydBiker View PostOkay. Then I will take it. Help
Guys I am using a 35 W HID kit in my P200 and sadly i am also facing the same battery issues....these days i have to push start the bike

My bike is running on 9AH Amaron battery
Can i use the avenger/220 rectifier unit?? will it solve the discharging issues? Can it lead to any other problem(s)?sigpic

I don't understand. Stock bulb is 35W and HID is also 35W. So, how does discharge occurs? The stock bulb run on DC correct? You just connected the HID in place of stock bulb using power from the same source? No relay stuff to battery done right?Originally posted by A@shIsh View PostGuys I am using a 35 W HID kit in my P200 and sadly i am also facing the same battery issues....these days i have to push start the bike

And are you sure your HID is 35W?Your biking tells a lot about the person you are!

Its P200 and not P220....stock headlight of P200 runs on AC currentOriginally posted by abhijeet080808 View PostI don't understand. Stock bulb is 35W and HID is also 35W. any solution? can i use the avenger's or P220's rectifier unit?
WILL it fit perfectly in P200?sigpic

I don't think so. Get a rectifier to convert the headlight AC to DC and run your HID of that. Do not run it off battery!Originally posted by A@shIsh View PostIts P200 and not P220....stock headlight of P200 runs on AC current

Are u suggesting a seperate rectifier? i am sorry i am unable to understand....dont have much info about electricalsOriginally posted by abhijeet080808 View PostI don't think so. Get a rectifier to convert the headlight AC to DC and run your HID of that. Do not run it off battery!
currently DC current is being taken from the ignition wire and a switch is installed which converts the whole system to DC, when u turn off the switch the bike becomes AC again which is needed to start the bike as the Bike Starts only on AC current.....after starting the bike i turn on the switch to make the system DC which is required to turn on the HID....
i hope it clears the situation....now can u suggest accordinglysigpic

I did not understand your switch part. Tell me what are you doing with the original 35W headlight ac wire? It is not been used rite? Convert that ac to dc and use it for your HID. That will solve your problem.Originally posted by A@shIsh View PostAre u suggesting a seperate rectifier? i am sorry i am unable to understand....dont have much info about electricals

Else you may convert your whole bike to run on DC. But it will be expensive.Your biking tells a lot about the person you are!

Not possible? Why? I my self converted it to DC to run LEDs for my tail lamp.. not tried with HID though!Originally posted by A@shIsh View Postbasically that switch transfers the DC current from the ignition to the stock headlight switch panel(right side switch gear on the handle)
yes that stock wire isnt being used and its not possible to convert it to DC....Your biking tells a lot about the person you are!

i have used a bridge rectifier. But mine is for low powered LEDs. I suggest you go to a electrician and ask him to design a bridge rectifier capable of handling around 5A current at 12V. The electricians who do college project works etc should know. Else if you can build the circuit yourself, i can try and design a suitable circuit myselfOriginally posted by A@shIsh View Postok so could you please share your technique...maybe sumthing could be done to my setup which can solve the problem

i have no knowledge whats that and how will it be used in the current setup....will enquire with my friend who did the fittingOriginally posted by abhijeet080808 View Posti have used a bridge rectifier.
