  • Yamaha FZS and backpain

I am proud owner of Yamaha FZs and its giving me superb performance , high torque , and an unbelievable mileage of 43 in city !! But its affecting my health too , I just wanted to know if anyone else is also facing the same problem as mine,

If I ride on it for a prolonged time/distance like 20KMs , Im getting back pain.

The pillion rider gets backpain even after 15 minutes on it. Is it my particular bike's seat height problem or is anyone else facing the same problem ? My height is 168cms. I know its a sports bike and position is not comfortable for cruise ride , but this is way too much un ergonomical.

Is there any solution for it ? like installing coolmesh or changing the seat shape or even adjusting the uni shock height ?

Did you face the same back pain while riding other bikes too?

Do you have any history of injuries to the back or any other health condition that might be causing the back pain?

    Are you physically fit?

This might be problem with either your riding style/condition or your lifestyle rather than the bike because the bike doesn't have much of a sporty riding position that would put too much of pressure on your back.

Dude,if you are feling back pain on FZ,then there is no other bike, you can ride comfortably.Friend my advice would be ,if you are below 40,and have no spine related issue in the past, please get it checked by a doc immidiately, this may be a symptom of something.Sorry,I am not trying to scare you,but its gud to take precautions you see.I hope there is no serious stuff.
As per FZ,it is the most comfy bike for cruising in india today. And its 'no way a sports bike'.I suggest you to get a car,as this may hamper your spines in future.

Dude FZ is not at all sporty positioned bike..I have driven it in city for short rides of 20-30 kms as well long drives of 300-350kms and trust me there is no back pain at all atleast till 200km and beyond that also its pretty minor..Try consulting a physiologist as there is no chance a person with healthy spine feeling backpain on 20kms drive on FZ...
