Exactly my problem. The stock one is Halonix I think(I will check).I too switched to white light but it didn't make much of a difference.Mine's a local brand that I bought in Delhi.Furolax.
In any case it didn't make much of a difference, and driving at night is still as suicidal as with the Gladiator's stock lights.
Would be grateful if any of you guys can suggest a remedy.

What is the stock rating of the bulb available in Gladi? Actually i too had a problem with my Uni.. I would recommend 55/60w Osram Nightbreaker Bulb with a moded regulator which gives the best possible light.
But OSRAM Nightbreaker comes in pair and pair costs rs.1400/- but worth it.

By changing the regulator aka rectifier to some custom made or avenger's rectifier Osram will be powered best.
Even without making any changes it will be way better than the existing bulb.

Wouldn't the battery discharge faster?Which bike's rectifier are you using on your Unicorn?

i have converted to DC but i am not recommending you to convert DC. By just changing regulator there will be little boost to the headlight also. i have not changed the regulator yet. Still unable to get hold of suitable regulator.

Even if u change to 9ah, how will it get charged?? For that some mod's with rectifier and coil is essential. Btw if u run on AC with boost to headlamp then there is no reason to upgrade battery to higher ampere.

or you may end up blowing indicator bulbs...and odometer lights
