  • effectiveness of Hunk or CBZ grs

I have a query regarding CBZ extreme. I have replaced rear spring arm suspension to Pulsar nitrox then replaced it to a 2nd hand hunk grs.
    1. Can any owner tell me effectiveness of Hunk or CBZ grs. Can it be repaired and made smooth.
    2. Can The sitting of Old CBZ extreme changed, means cushioning, as I am 6.2 and has some back pain.
    3. I am using Synthetic oil(10w30sj of honda CBR). Is it ok? BTW engine and gears are butter smooth.
Valuable info:- bike is running on NGK platinum spark plug(better than stock one) and . Using hunk GRS and I feel grs is waybetter than stock spring arm in red.

      Hi Shekhar,
I recently bought a used HH Hunk, was disappointed with the GRS performance, there's only 20k kms on the odo, but I feel the shocks have completely stopped working, there's hardly any shock absorber action and really bumpy ride if without pillion.

In this forum itself I have read somewhere that GRS' are not long-lasting as the traditional shocks, but they do give better feel when they are good.

I read some where that, there is an option of re-filling the gas, if it is discharged, but that too doesn't yield much results.

I think the only option left out is to replace the shock-absorbers

        Thanks bro,
It seems, I need a new grs.
BTW oil and gas filling may improve them.

Yes, oil and gas refilling may indeed improve them, but don't know to what extent and how long.
When I talked to a local mechanic last week, he advised my shock-absrobers can be re-conditioned, which includes refilling gas and oil. He says no need to replace them now. But I've not yet decided on what to do.
Need to check with the price of new GRS, and decide on whether go for New / getting them re-condtioned.
          Btw, you got new GRS?
