Believe me man ... this one is more than enough ...

the HID is nothing great .... i never liked it .... because the white light creates a lot of problem in depth perception in the night. This happens.
But the prob now in putting up a new bulb is dat i recently replacd d stock reflector wit dat of ambassador n am not sure if dat has a h4 holder. the mechanic has put a new bulb dat comes wit vespa scooter. am unaware of the holder in it

a vespa scooter bulb in a thunder bird

I am sure that it has a H4 holder ... because cars generally use that only, and that holder is capable of holding a 100/90 bulb also ..
So check out with the mechanic ... but dont put a 100/90 to ur bike ... that will spoil ur battery for sure ....
If u r from bangalore, then go to J C Road, and u will find a lot of mechanics good ones for this ... get it done ... they also wil help u if u want to fix a HID ....
so just take ur time and do all the research and then go for the change ....

      i hope this helps

Not sure about this. As i did not try this out man ..... But one fact is clear is that, i think you have made a mistake by changing to the the Ambassador reflector. Just try once with the Classic reflector ( if you want to though ) ...

Do you stay in bangalore .... if yes then i can help you out with a shop in bangalore who can be help you out about this

But believe me, you dont need any kind of modifications as of now.
First get your bike , understand her . try to leave with it. Dont do any modifications first. Just ride your bike for a couple of months .... This is a lot different bike compared to other bikes.

yah one thing you can change is the head lights to Philips Xtreme 60/55 ....
U dont need any kind of modifications for this. Just u need to change the bulb.
              Hey Thanks Bro!
My hands are really etching now to grip on TB!!!

Boss.... I am from Hubli. I have got two problems in my 2011 TBTS.
                1) I want to change the handle, and i THINK harey's Fatboy kinda handle would help. I need your suggestion in it since you said you are a tourer and you might be knowing a thing or two about handle comfort.
                2) The headlight, Phillips xtreme 60/55... how much would it cost? Can it be fit without other changes to the headlight assembly in my 2011 TBTS?
                Royal Enfield for Life.

                  Hey Guys,

Doesnt the Thunderbird come with a projector type sealbeam/headlamp?
with stock bulb (55/60w inside a projector) isnt it supposed to provide better lighting?
Presence of MIND and self CONFIDENCE is the primary aspect You need to be on road, not what brand your riding gears are.
If you lack these two then DONT

I have no idea about the harey's Fatboy handle. But i saw a couple of pics over the net and can say that its a nice one. But is it not going to give you problem while turning? I think that you will also have problem while locking the bike handle also. But not sure as i did not try that.
But the handle looks good to me.

For phillips Xtreme, the price will be around 450 at the phillips dealer shop. Try not to get the same from accessories shop. The will ask for at least 600. The original price is around 450.

No Thunderbird comes with 35/35w bulb. And no projectors also.
The new thunderbird 500 is going to come with 55/60w inside a projector.

Can you please tell me which is the shop you are referring to? Since you've already done the hard work, I think it's safer to lean onto your shoulders. . I need to change the bulb too as I do a lot night riding of late. I stay in Kormangala.

You will get all these in the show room or in the service centers itself.
And the prices are all the same.

Sorry mate for the late reply. The shop is in J C Road. From the J C Road signal, take a left, and then second left. The name of the shop starts with Chawla. Just ask any one they will show you.
