  • Challan at court

    Hi everyone,
i have an query that last week i got without helmet challan which i had paid yesterday.
I went to the court they collect my challan paper issued by the "hawaldar" after that the judge's "munshi" (the person who collects the fine) and charged me 100 rupees as fine. After that He returned my license, but he didn't gave me any RECEIPT and he didn't even tell me to SIGN any where ( Mere se kahi per be sign nahi krwaye gye na hi chalan paper submit krte hue or na he mera license mujhe dene k bad or receipt bhi nahi de )
    So, is it ok..?
    Please help me out...
I'm very tensed. Coz it was my first experience in court...

Ps: edited after few years and i was laughing after reading my english grammer lol

    Outcome: Everything was sorted out
    Thanks for your replies.

i don't know what rules are there at your place, but i had to sign before collecting the seized papers and they updated the status on a computer.
and the question remains why do i race?
every finishing line is the begining of a new race.

You are lucky , in kolkata/west-bengal if your case is escalated to the court , you have to employ a lawyer and petition the court to either deny all charges and ask for trial , or agree and pay the maximum fine applicable under the charged section of the law , as pre-emptive fine .
You got your papers back intact , you are home and dry too ... why worry ?

Its Simple, if you pay for anything, you should get a cash receipt.
In your case, they took your money as a bribe!
