    Yamaha Gladiator Mileage Trouble.

    hi,

    I am riding a yamaha gladiator dx 125 cc, 2006 model. The meter reading is 53000 km so far. I am getting a mileage of no more than 25km/L since last one year. Need help on how to improve it. I drive for about 20 km daily, in mild to moderate traffic.

      your mileage is quite low.check these things=
      Valve Clearances –. Loose valves will cause lower mileage. Should be checked every 12000kms..
      Carburettor Condition particularly the CarbDiaphragms or Venturi Jets (Inside the Carb). . More difficult to diagnose and to check, however does affect mileage significantly. Check condition of Intake Rubber (Both Sides of Carb, but particularly into the head).
      .
      Air Filter Condition – Easy to Clean and has quite some impact on the mileage.
      Chain Tension & Condition & Sprocket Condition
      Spark Plug Caps
      Oil Condition – Poor Oil/Incorrect Oil will cause poorer compression, faster wear and could be the cause of a slipping clutch.
      Spark Plug Condition/Mileage.
      and the question remains why do i race?

      #i have learnt to manipulate my own adrenaline and the perception of biking is different.
      #overkill is underrated.

      #i don't subscribe to co-incidence,either it is the rider or the other moron on the road
      (:)people keeps on saying add spark to life, bajaj got hold of that idea and added an extra spark to bike.
