  • Battery Draining Out

For the past 2 months i have encountered this problem. I own a Pulsar 180 UG3. Last month my battery dried out suddenly and i heard a small noise when it happened,. It was a small clap and a spark. I thought maybe my battery has reached its limit. So i changed battery and brought a new Exide battery. But after 2 weeks my battery drained again and my bike's completely dead. My horn is not working and the self start is dead. What could e the problem. Battery is brand new. the stator coils are also brand new. There must be some fault in the wiring system. Please help me with it. I cannot afford to drive without headlamp and horn. That too in a city like Chennai.. Please help me out....!

any electrical modification done on your bike?
and the question remains why do i race?
every finishing line is the begining of a new race.

#i have learnt to manipulate my own adrenaline and the perception of biking is different.
      #overkill is underrated.
#how random roads may appear there is always a destination.sigpic
#i don't subscribe to co-incidence,either it is the rider or the other moron on the road

(:)people keeps on saying add spark to life, bajaj got hold of that idea and added an extra spark to bike.

Check for any shorting in your wiring, ensure that your alternator current properly reaches the battery and does not have any short on the way. Also, check for the proper working of your bike's rectifier.

Thanks for the reply dude.. It looks like a days job... So i will probably give it on saturday and have it done. I guess that will be the problem.. Faulty wiring and/or failed rectifier. Is it advisable to give it in bajaj's service centre or get it done from a local mechanic..? lemme know about it...! And also could u tell me how much will a new regulator cost...?

It used to happen with my fazer, do wiring check- I didnt have any wiring problem so the only solution was drive for some good KMS

I drove around 173 Km went to few places in single day & the battery was charge properly & its fine now

Hey buddy, I'll definitely look into it.. I'll probably buy original parts from Bajaj dealer and give it to a my local mechanic to get the problem fixed.. My local mechanic has fixed so many problems that the Bajaj "service" official could not even think of doing it.. SO i'll probably get it done this weekend.. thanks for the post dude.. Please lemme know the part number for relay and regulator.. Ciao...!
