        1. what is that exactly who had told to the bajaj sc.

        2. how was your bike before and what is the difference that you feel,
And how & when do you feel it?
Presence of MIND and self CONFIDENCE is the primary aspect You need to be on road, not what brand your riding gears are.
If you lack these two then DONT

          Hello,

I Can sense the problem might be with the air filter. check out whether the air filter intake place is blocked.

Why do you change the engine oil so frequently when a bottle costs more than Rs.200, which is not going to help with your issue ?

What are the current symtoms ?

              Also let us know -
              1. when was the last time you cleaned carb and cleaned/changed air filter
              2. checked/changed the sparkplugs ever?

You can easily rule out Fueling issues. Does it occur only when hot? If yes, check the carb diaphragm for movement. Also check oil circuits for proper flow, it may be a partial seizure.
Get the electricals checked. It looks like the pulsar coil( Nothing to do with the bikes name, It actually supplies sparks at regular intervals) is at fault. Also get ignition coil checked. And get the spark plug wire checked for resistance. Change the spark Plug if u haven't.

P.S Its nothing to do with engine oil. Dont waste money over it. Either its overheating, or its a electrical fault. Even electrical faults as retarded/too advanced timing can cause severe overheating.

When was the last time you changed the spark plugs? Yours is an electrical issue for sure.
Start with changing the spark plugs if you hadn't changed them for the last 10000 kms. Same kind of shit happened with my bike too, when it was new. Mine is also a P180UG3 2008 model. They found that the spark plug was faulty. Lots of heat and jerking.

I have been following these threads closely for gaining insights regarding bikes and their maintenance. Most of the folks here are really helpful and provide genuine advice. Thanks to all for that. I had to finally join this amazing community when I needed some advice regarding an issue I couldn't find answer to in forums.

Though bikes can be best understood when checked live, I really need some suggestions/experiences to sort this out.

I own a Pulsar 150cc UG III 2008 model. Total run is 19,000 KMs. Being one of the loves of my life , I take utmost care. Now, last week while riding it for around 4-5 KMs, it started losing acceleration, engine started almost feeling powerless, knocking sound too much, engine got heated and it was almost impossible to move in 4-5th gear. I suspected Engine Oil (Last one was Valvoline Premium). Luckily a roadside shop was around and I got it replaced with Castrol Active 20W40 (Valvoline was unavailable and total oil drip from Engine was 700 ml). Bike felt better, I reached my destination and returned at night comfortably.

Again the very next day, after the same distance, same thing happened. I took my bike immediately to Bajaj ASC. The guy told me they would figure out the problem and let me know on phone. First they couldnt find anything wrong. After my persistent efforts, they rechecked and found the problem. They took two days to figure out and finally water in fuel tank was blamed. They cleaned that up and told me bike was fine. Total billing was of around Rs 300 which of course I didnt mind.

Now the bike as such doesnt go to that extreme problem. But I can consistently feel all the symptoms a little subdued. Bike starts properly, moves for 3-4 KMs just fine, but after that it again lacks pick-up, acceleration, power and knocking sound is there. I am worried thinking might be Bajaj SC just made some tweaks and didnt address the issue, the engine is still under stress.

Please provide your valuable suggestions. I love my bike and cant get the issue out of my head.
Thanks a lot in advance, Guys!

                    Aditya
i am facing the same problem and one of my mechanic told me that this is due to piston. piston become loose after 40k to 50k and it need to be changed. it will cost below 1000.
