  • HELP: Selling a Mumbai bike in Pune

I am planning to sell my Thane registered bike in Pune, for upgrading to a new one. The bike is 5 years old. But when I went to the dealers of HH or suzuki, they said they will have another 2500 deducted from the amount, as the registration is of Thane. Is this true? Is there any work around? If there is a process involved, can someone please guide?

In any case, I may just ride the bike back to Thane and sell it there, but as new vehicle costs less in Pune (by 2000), I was planning to exchange my bike to the same dealer to avoid selling it myself. I request your guidance on this.

they will have headache of selling it via their Thane brethren, so they are taking extra charges for the headache. If you have a relative in Thane - sell through them.
