Need help with Rx 100 parts and paint Job

    Need help with Rx 100 parts and paint Job

    Hello everyone,

    I just recently acquired my first bike which is a RX100 1991 Model and in the process of getting it restored with the original parts.

    I want to know if there is anyone who could be trusted to get Rx100 parts.

    Also i Want a paint Job to be done. A complete Paint Job for the Nut, bold and Engine.

    Is is advised to go for a complete paint job and should i let go some parts on the bike which might let down me in performance??

    My engine oil is leaking below and i have tried to fix it but everytime i go for a ride and come back it does it.

    One of my friend said it is normal and i have no clue Please help

      Its not normal; your crankcase has a broken chip somewhere inside OR the center casing has to be resealed.

        Rx 100 as your first bike? Man..Congrats..You're gonna have a hell of a sweet time. But, Trust me, it's all worth it at the climax.

        AFAIK, all Rx 100 parts are readily available in any reputes YASS/ Showrooms, so sourcing parts is not an issue for you as of now.

        Paint Job is only for the Tank, Side Shields, Chassis, Fork legs, Wheel Hubs, Chain guard cover, Head & Bore. Rest of the fasteners should be Zinc plated. Seen a Golden Yellowish color on the newer fasteners that you get from Hardware stores?? The same finish.

        It will be normal to ur friend as long as the bike belongs to you. On a serious note, as Aargee pointed out either there is a drain bolt issue or ur crank case has chipped off. Better see to it at the earliest.

            Hi all,

            I am a 2-stroke freak & a RX100 Fan. Recently I bought a very old RX100, and its 1986 model & in good condition.

            But i notice there is a slight oil leak on the engine side (where the Oil pump is located). Is it normal ? or do i need to check the Oil pump etc.,

            Also it is still running on 6V, resulting in poor lighting & Horn. I learnt that it can be upgraded by just rewinding the lighting-Coil + Magneto Charging.
            Please suggest.
