  • New Pulsar 220F, Suspected clutch problem :(

Hey Guys, I love the Pulsar and when it was time for my new bike, i looked no further than the 220F.
My bike has done just 1400kms, and it has a strange problem. At 4k rpm in 5th gear, it goes effortlessly at 58-60, but when I open the throttle at this speed the engine rpm surges suddenly, with no increase in speed. It has happened 5-6 times and happens when engine is warm. I know its too early for a clutch plate wear, and i use the Bajaj 10000 DTSi engine oil. Please help me out guys, my dream bike is begining to shatter my dreams

Check the free play on the clutch cable (adjusted on the left hand side of the motor) There should be 2-3mm movement of the cable before the clutch releases.

The bike should be under warranty if it is new - take it to the dealer to check.
