2.5 lakhs??

I dont thing either the Ad is genuine or the bike is genuine. It can be an illegal import also. A used 2009 R1 with 3000 Kms on the clock should be above 7 lakhs.

2.5L for an R1? Either an illegal import or must be involved in an accident and has a legal issue dogging it.

These guys are Nigerian cheats who have started logging into local classifieds posting some Random Juicy Pic of a SBK & asking peanuts for the same. Their First transaction would be like to deposit an amount of 2.5 Lkhs (Full amount of what they quote on the bike put up for sale) & ask you to wait until it's being shipped from US, UK or some random country & vanish off once the money is realized in their account. You end up in losing money & they live a colourful life after that.

+1. could be a Nigerian scam. stay away. if you still want to explore go ahead but dont let any money change hands. use a nigerian name if u have to

its impossible that you can get a 2009 R1 in this price tag until there's a story behind it which you wouldn't want to hear

@Binoy & Dual_Disk - Thank Heavens that i didn't do any money transfer as i couldn't find the contact details for the person who posted the ad. But i have replied to his ad on quikr will let you guys know if i get a reply..

The price of a used R1 is no where near what the ad is quoting, even a totaled bike will fetch more here in India. Incidentally I have a Indian invoice 2008 R1 for sale with full system micron exhaust and Power commander 3, anyone interested please PM me for the price.
