I think Aryan Da meant it as a relative price. That is,If spares part of Bajaj cost Rs 600 then the same spare parts of HH would cost in the region of the same.

And the effect was profound.Everything about the bike felt different and better. And it cost me a total of Rs 600.
My God! So much hooplah on a post! I mean that (the above in underline). It was the discussion about Discover's clutch plates and all which cost nightwing Rs.600/-!! And I didn't even talk of HH spares as I have no idea of the same.

I was just replying to nightwing's post. Diffuser had some confusion as to how could that cost nightwing JUST 600 (and not Rs.6000/-)...

      Now, is it clear sir??

I think inder dada's mind was somewhere else when he made his question.
Hint: Read the post that he made in the Mumbai G2G thread.

If the timing chain is gone, then you will get typical tick-tick noise from the engine. if there is such noise, you will have to change the timing chain and tensioner.
@BOOO: Yeah man, I do hear something of that sorts...thought it was a natural.

@ Samarth: Seems I need to stand around the whole day to keep an eye. And yes, those plates need to go. Man! I can't even pull a proper wheelie on by bike and have to get the adrenaline rushes from 1/2-foot, 2-sec wheelies.

@Trigger: Yes, the guy did mention a pushrod. Seems he's getting some business out of fooling me if you are correct.

                    First major service installment

Went to the same mech yesterday and had my chainset changed. It took much time, as I had to get the spared from a distant HH service center, then send off the bike for washing (it was coated layers of mud and what not). Finally, the guys were able to put on the new chain and sprokets, but then it got too late to get the carb cleaned and change the fork oil. That would be done on another day soon, as well as the clutch plate change.

BWT, at the HH spares shop, i got the following qoutation:
                    • Pushrod (some kinda adjuster, as the salesman told) - 1602
                    • Clutch plate - 625
                    • Timing chain - 355

Will go for all three next month, as getting an upgrade in my riding gear this month.
