paint job

  • paint job

    my bike is a pulsar 150 black... i wanted a paint job to be done on my bike to red... i almost was goin in for it when one fine day one of my friends told that dont change ur bike color, u'd have problem with the cops as ur RC book has only black quoted in it.....

    so i'm in dilemma of what to do.... any recomendations..????

      You will have to get the RC modified.RTO guys will again take the engine number and chassis number and will inspect the bike before they issue you a new RC.

      EDIT : and yes , inform your insurance company of the new colour with a copy of the new RC

        Yes, that is the legal way actually, but I don't think everyone who changes the paint schemes goes through this procedure anyways. Cops really do not check such minute details.

        But nevertheless, take the right way and peace of mind would be yours!

          Insurance company will create problems if you put up any claims

              I had got my colour changed twice (red->blue->black) just because "colour" wasn't mentioned in my RC (paper book , nagpur RTO) even then insurance company made at least a dozen inquiries because everytime my bike colour would change when I put up a claim

                    i'm actually the second owner of the bike... so gettin a new RC..??? would i have to also contact the previous owner or jus goin straight to the RTO after the paint job would be sufficient....

                    and moreover is there any form that i gotta fillout..??

                      even if its 2nd hand , isn't the bike in your name? money is involved , but very less if you get it done without touts/officially

                          i recently bought my flame..and in my RC book, the color is not mentioned at all..is this ok or Do i need to get it corrected?
