I have hero honda super splendor bike fixed with a new EXIDE battery in Aug 2011 and has not been mineral water topped or maintained since then, but it was working very well , last week i was on outstation official tour and when i returned and started the bike after 5 days the battery was totally drained and there was white powder on the positiver terminal of the battery , even after riding for 20 kms only the neutral light glowed lightly and no indicators, horn is working.
Is the issue with battery or with bike. Coming to idle time many times during sat sun i have been at home only so from friday night till monday morning bike is unused at that time nothing happened.
Comming with doubt of issue with bike, since past 4 months or so the back light tail light does not work when we press the rear brake, it works only when we press the front brake, showed to one local mechanic and he checked the rear brake light switch by pulling it all the way still the light did not work, then i observed this peculiar thing that when the bike gets wet in rain, then only the rear brake light switch works, was planning to take to service centre to get the short / circuity issue resolved but kept on pending pending pending.
But for 5 days the bike was standing and ignition was off, key was not in bike so did the battery really drained out, from some slow slow draining to run some equipment, like light etc, but when the switch is off / ignition is off no light works at all .
so now can i claim warranty from company or is it my fault. Please advise.
