Topic Approved. Although, there are proper Riding Gears and Tyres thread, but since this is a combined request, I'll approve this here...

1. Tyres having good/ more grooves and soft compound are best for rains. More the grooves, better the grip in bad conditions (rain, sand, snow, etc.). Try getting them in 140/60 only, as grip seems to be your concern, although big size is not guarantee for grip.

2. Rain wear? You mean a jacket? Quite a many riding jackets are water resistant, with water proof pockets. Some others are full water proof, but with very low ventilation.

I personally use a DSG Nero which is full black, costed me some 5500, and it is good for rains, very good for winters, but average for hot weather. It has some ventilation zips, which tries its best to keep cool.

Otherwise, if you're only looking for rain protection and not crash protection, then there's a whole lot of choices in the market.
